Is there an GPS unit that will get me within 10 feet of a site?

Also remember when the person posted location coordinates how accruate was the device they used to get the coordinates ?

I have a Garmin GPS40 and it tells me when I get from 175 feet to 1000 feet from my preset waypoint.
I need something alot more accurate.
Any ideas?
I have 3 Garmin 60 csx's They say within 60 feet . I also have a Garmin 750 I Montana they claim 10 feet. I thought I could down load some programs i use on my phone but that is not true. I wanted to be able to D/l some mapping programs but I can not do it. That one was $750 wasted

I feel my CSX's are just as accurate and my Montana 750 I maybe I should sell the Montana

YES there are, use a GPS for car navigation you will be accurate like <=2 meters
They are like an iPad and they are fragile
The most popular are GPS from Garmin mark

I guess Garmin have a own Satellites network or Private channels that is why its good accurate than the public USA government GPS satellites network (military) that are free to use, so, i guess too much congestion (DELAY of signal).

Another point is the HOUR you use it, thats mean the location of the GPS Satellites over the horizont accords to your location (Distance and angle), so, have better results over 11:30 AM or early. Do tests at several hours.

Exists a way to make a triangulation with the GPS itself, so, you will be near to the real spot, but, this is another topic :tongue3:

Hope this helps!! :headbang:

hello. I use a Magellan Meridian GPS receiver and it gets me within 9 feet of my target area. this unit is also waterproof. this has never failed me out in the field. it does have capabilities to work in real time on a laptop and is compatible with National Geographic topo maps on cd. i have maps for Missouri and California.
