I’m not sure what I have here or how old it is. My son said it looks like a buckle. I can see why he tough that. I could see what looks like a Patent Date. All that I can make out of it is (TED APR 7). I found it in an area that has a long History
I used to dabble in antique costume jewelry and it does look like a woman's Victorian clip....possibly from the size of it tho it went on a cape or cloak instead of a dress. Most likely the flowers and leaves were painted or enameled then had rhinestones in the center of the flower....I have had similar clips before. This is the only vintage buckle I have handy at the moment, as you can see (I think, if it is not too blurry) that the backs are similar...this one is from the 30's or 40's. These were also used to hold sashes together and sometimes were made to wear on shoes. Gee, I hope my pics do not turn out to be cinemascope!! Still new at this, Rita
