Looks like a heel plate but I don't think this was an outer piece. Is this lead? The way it's corroded?

Does look similar to a heel or toe plate. But not finding one shaped exactly like it right now

ETA: Found one similar in shape on the internet, IDing the metal as iron.

My guess is some sort of al/bauxite material. Don’t think it’s a heel plate. Maybe a mount off equipment?
