Item ID help please! SOLVED

I found this today while hunting the Calvert plantation site with TEXAN Connection. It is 1 1/4 inches in diameter and weighs almost 10 grams. Looks like it is mostly brass with some iron showing. Anyone have an idea?

The metal stud on the back is way too small for it to be a drawer pull.

This was found within a few feet from a horseshoe, that why I was leaning towards it being of equestrian in nature.
