It came from a volcanic ash layer. Ill get bunch more, better pics. Not exactly sure just what it is.

Fat, check out the end (base end, not pointy distal end) of the fossil, look for Schreger pattern (a cross hatch pattern). If you see that cross hatch then it is a tusk. I have several pieces and will try and post what I am talking about.

Thanks for the help. I will get better pics. I’m thinking it’s a horn core from the Latifrons.
