I got my Garrett 350 last spring. I have been finding a few recent coins and a small silver ring at the beach
Today I went to our city park and found the usual loose change. Then I was about to give up when I found this
10k Masonic ring. It was 3 inches down and near the front entrance to a shelter.

That got my blood rushing and a desire to continue hunting. I don't know what its worth, but I am taking it
to a friend who is a Mason and see if someone lost it. DSC00417.JPG

Nice-- is the stone blue or black? That would tell you the level of the person who lost it. If its black it is from a high level Mason.

Beautiful ring!! If it was three inch's deep I wouldn't think it was lost too recently!

That is commendable of you, but without an inscription, and lost quite awhile ago, I honestly don't know how hard I'd look for a "claimer". Also being in a park it could have been someone from not in your area. I'm not condoning keeping things that could be returned. I guess the question is there an inscription ? Initals, date ? anything inside the ring ?

Post number 1, welcome to T-net, probably the biggest, best MD forum there is.

I don't know what its worth

that's an awesome find. as of today, 10k gold is worth $18.67 per gram. assuming it weighs 10 grams, that's $186.70 melt value. not bad at all.
