Some more nice finds this week and I like the war nickel ender too. I found a war nickel (obv) ender earlier this year too but I didn't even notice it till I opened the roll because the coin was so dark it was kinda difficult to read the date. My nickels this week weren't too good, but Ive done pretty well over all this year I think.

Hope we both have more god luck with the nickel hunting the rest of the year!

After finding this Rosie this morning I've got the itch to try a few boxes of dimes. I have avoided them so far because I didn't want to date-check and I wasn't sure I could identify the silver by edge checking, but seeing this I'm pretty sure I can.

Hopefully we both get better soon! Last week I searched $1114.55 in nickels with only 6 War and 1 Buffalo.

Good Luck and HH!

Going to take a little break this week. I've been hitting it hard for the last month or so hitting at least a bank or more per day. It'll do me and the tellers good not to see each other for a week. I've got 2 boxes of nickels and a box of halves to pick up Friday and will probably try to get a box or bag of dimes.

Stopped by the dump bank at lunch to get rid of my last $45 in nickels, walked out with $33 Ikes. 8-76 and 13-72 (IIRC). From a quick look it looks like they're all Type 1, but I'll check them out closer when I get off work.

Sold the Ikes for $1.10 each yesterday to a coworker. 10% profit works for me! Back to the grind tomorrow. Got the call today that my box of halves came in and hopefully my 2 boxes of nickels got ordered. Going to try to find a box or 2 or bag of dimes and also have lots of errands to run and will get to visit some new banks. How tomorrow is profitable!

Have had a good weekend!

Half dollar story here!

Also picked up 2 boxes of nickels and 1 box of dimes. Got skunked on the dimes, but nickels were pretty good!

Box 1
1-45p
6-2009d
22-Pre 60

Box 2
1-43s
1-45p
15-2009d
22-Pre 60

Also, got to look at part of my grandpa's collection my mom had. When he passed, she and my aunts and uncle split the coins. Got to see my first Morgan dollar, walking liberty half, standing liberty quarter, Mercury and Barber dimes, and Indian Head cent. There were also a lot of wheat cents. It was really cool getting to finally see some of the coins I've been reading so much about.

Pretty good weekend so far. Finished up my bag from Thursday yesterday afternoon, then picked up 2 more boxes and searched them. Also picked up $50 cwr halves.

The buffalo box was an odd one. Opened the box and saw the ender, which is always cool. Searched the other box first and remember thinking about how it's been a while since I had found a buffalo. This box changed that. 2nd roll in I found 2 buffalos. 5 or so later I found 2 more in 1 roll. Then it dried up until roll 28. Up until then I had only found 2 pre 60 Jeffersons. Roll 28 had 2 buffalo, a 45s, and a 49! Picked up a few more buffalo through the end of the box. I thought it was really weird that I only found 6 pre 60 Jeffersons for the whole box with so many buffalo. All but one are completely dateless, the one I can read is 192x. I would have been happier with silver, but buffalo are fun too.

Congrats on all the nice nickel finds lately. And 14 buffalos with so few older Jeffersons from one box is really unusual - bet that was a fun box to search. I didn't have any luck with halves last week but I found one war nickel and I picked up a box of nickels for the wknd so Im hoping I can find a little something more.

Thanks! Yeah, it was a fun box for sure! Good luck with your box this weekend. I've got another bag to go through this weekend.

Congrats on the trifecta. Do u get your nickel bags from machines or do u order them? Seems like u r able to get a lot of them. Seems like u find a lot of '09's too. I usually only find a few per box - mostly P's. And I found several 2014 (P)'s in my last nickel box which were my first so far this year.

HH!
