Just found time to post Sunday's finds

I had time enough Sunday morning to get a few hours of hunting in so went to a spot where we had found some shot 3 ringers and a Eagle coat button about three acres of woods kind of hit and miss.Sunday was raining so I had a bag covering the old Nautilus so instead of packing down in the brush I started as soon as I hit the tree line three steps in and a bullet and not a foot pass that I hit my 1st VA. State Seal 1 pc. button as you can see well worn but it still made me happy. All that was found was in a 20' x 20' area.I will be going back!

Very nice finds! I see horse equipment and a CW knapsack hook in there as well. Looks like a camp.

Can we see the back of the VA button? Any backmark?

I haven't had time to work on the back that much so I'm not sure yet what it is. Found it "Young. Smith & Co./New. York"

VERY nice! Pre-war one piece! With a good shank! That is a very collectable button. Get back out there and find some more.

Wonder how old the spoon is. I found one yesterday exact same kind at a cw battle/camp site I hunt

Spoon

This is the 1st one I've found and was surprized how small they are.

I don't know how old they are but was fairly suprised to see how little they were. Wonder if it could be part of mess gear
