I found some case knives today. In a display case, and to put a new lock on it. has all the original boxes as well. Sweet! In the original boxes for those knives were two hidden extra knives!
I also bought a 1881 S Morgan for $15 a worn to death peace for $8. Six silver quarters for about a dollar under spot total. But he said in the safe deposit box he has a ton of Morgan dollars. And he wants me to come over and look at them with money in my pocket. Lol. I said no problem! This is also the house I bought the $10 gold coin from last weekend. So I'm very eager to go back and see him.
It's tough for me with coins. To sell them or pay low.. 2 months ago my wife and I had so much credit card debt that we couldn't even enjoy being a family. I sold off a lot of my favorite things. I paid off all our debt in one month. To tune of $12,000. so now I'm looking to rebuild or replace what I sold and never get ourselves in that crappy situation again. Some of our friends look at us like we're crazy when we tell them we have no credit card debt. Soon to have no car debt too.
Sorry for the rant, A friend of ours came over to show off his new car. And asked when we're trading ours in for a new one. I told him the day it stops moving. I don't know I'd rather have old coins then a new car anyways!
That is a sweet score right there. I have been looking for knives lately since my dad said he was starting to collect again. So far all I've been able to find is people selling them either spot on or over pricing them. They would be gifts to my dad anyway but the bargain hunter in me wont allow me to pay what they are worth.
