Have done about 1000 sqft of my 12 acres. As you can see, it'll take some time to get through it all as I can't walk five feet without finding something :)

Nothing too special - couple pennies - one of them a '44 (copper, not steel), pocket knife, bullet casing, wires, cans, sardine containers, steel plating, and various other medal fragments.

Trash, but still fun to find :D

My first day MD'ing in by backyard scored a silver dime, been hooked ever since...

LOL, A RIM!!!!! Great finds, thats funny!!!! lol

Well getting a 44 wheat is a good sign, likely silver around somewhere.

Keep @ it and HH!!

I've got 20 acres of about the same stuff! 17 woods and 3 of lawn & brushlot. If I had a quarter for every brass tarp grommet I've dug I'd be drinking Guiness like you!

That tire rim must have got your hopes up! I hit a pie plate at 18" that I was convinced was a silver cache.

Found 20' of 3/8" chain with hooks at each end I'm still using to drag logs & yank small trees. That and a 1947 dog tag are about all worth hanging on to. But I'm still searching!

Good luck! My yard has given up 3 matchbox cars, 81 cents in clad, numerous nails and construction debris, but its still an adventure every time I hunt it. Enjoy, looks like you have a lot to search.

Nice yard work. All 44 pennies are copper. The 43 is the steel one-I think.lol

Now that is a BACKYARD!
Sounds like it will give up some silver and other great finds.
Keep posting so we know what you find.

Heh, wouldn't be the first time I've found a car in my yard. When I first moved in a couple years ago I went out to weed-wack some tall brush and found a frame, engine, and some other parts. The body had long since rusted away.

I heard that the 43 coppers and 44 steels were the rare ones. Could be wrong though.
