We enjoy a little fun here on Tnet, & as usual some get a little carried away. Or perhaps it is just our different upbringing. I'm pretty sure I didn't offend anyone here, & I am sorry if some were offended by, shall we say, just a little bit to crude humor by some of the posters. I have learned how to skim over posts that I don't like & read the ones I like. (Kind of like reading Mitchners' books). But in this world of so many different views & ethics, we have to learn to cope with what we don't like or understand. Dirty hands is a small thing, & I will try to keep my hands out of posts. But Flyadive, perhaps you can learn to ignore the parts of pics that annoy you. It will make life easier for you in the long run. Please don't let our silliness drive you from Tnet. For most of us it is all in good fun, for some a little too malicious, but hey that's the way it goes.

Is this really that big of a deal? Are you one of these people who think shorts and flip flops are indecent and should be outlawed? Do you wear gloves all the time? How about just letting people do what they want? This idea is comparable to a grade school telling all kids they can't have peanut butter because ONE kid is allergic...
Sorry, but our country has enough people telling others what they can say, do, drive, eat, wear, what activities they can do, where they can live, and how much they can make. And now you want to control my hands...WOW! What's left that someone's not trying to control?

So, I'm miles back in the woods. I have been digging in dirt and mud for hours. I uncover a fantastic relic and want to take a photo while holding it in my hand. Am I supposed to carry soap and water with me to wash up before taking said photo?

No, but you could EASLY place it on a rock , towel or just lang it on a branch! Don't you need two hands to take a good proper picture?
