Keeping it swinging....

Managed to go out for a couple of hours yesterday. Went back to the State Park, around the Boy Scout camp and found $1.15 in clad. Also found this object and I can't identify it. It's 3 3/4" but a piece is broke off of the end. Anyone recognize this?

Congrats on the finds!!
Its hard to tell the size of your find. Looks like an old die set used for threading pipe ,etc.

Forgot to mention that it's made of aluminum.

It could be a part of a hinge like on a old rod Iron gate but I don't know if they made them out of aluminum. If there is a hole at one end it could be a valve. It would be nice to see the ends of it.

If its aluminum it could be part of a turnbuckle from a rowboat.
