Went back to a house today that I've had luck at in the past. Ended up with 2 wheats, 2 buffs, 1 V nic, 1 merc, and what I believe to be a gold ring. No markings on the ring but it looks legit. The stone is dark red. Thanks for looking!

Thanks everyone. Gonna have the ring tested. I'll be shocked if its not gold. It rang up like a bouncy nickel and was about 7 inches deep

No question on if it is gold. Question is what karat. Being a man's ring and the wear i am guessing 10K. You might have a 14K critter though.

Went to a gold smith to have the ring tested. Surprisingly he didn't have anyway of testing it but in his opinion its most likely old, hollow Italian gold. No definitive answer though. Looks like I'll have to buy an acid test online
