Well I was back at it again today for about 4 hours, Hit the low tide wet slopes where I pulled yesterday's gold. Didn't strike gold till the last hour of the hunt but man it hit hard! 1 24.8g 14k bracelet, 2 14k rings, 1 w/Ice other w/ruby total weight 4.6g (stones test good on both) 1 2.2g 10k ring w/Ice (stones test good), & 2 silver toe rings. Clad total today was $7.08. Thanks for looking, HH!

Dockweiler Beach?, El Porto?

WoW! What a haul. Keep that up and you may have to change your name to SUPERDAVE!!

Btw run your scoop by a shop and have them hit it with the tig welder. It'll be just like brand new...

HH, Dave

Really Awesome Dave. Congrats. A day like you had is what we all shoot for!!

Thanks for the scoop advice Diggin Dave! The aluminum is pretty worn thin at the bottom of the bucket, most likely will have to replace the whole bucket..I kinda want to get a tig welder and learn how to do it myself, seems like It would be a fun repair project..

Damn and I just wanna find A gold hit lol. Congrats and awesome haul!

In the picture it doesn't look too bad. Just straighten up the bottom of the bucket so it lines up nice with the bottom edge and have someone run a bead. You should be able to get a few more years out of it. Most local garages or muffler shops are equipped with a tig welder, and it should be fairly inexpensive.

As you know tig welders can run you a few dollars, from $500.00 up, plus argon, gloves, shield, etc. That's stuff is nice to have around when you need it, then again how often will you use it to get your money's worth. If you start fabricating, ScooperDave's Scoops...has a nice ring to it!

Great pics...congrats on the banner.

Man way to go...

That is a nice bracelet! Great finds friend!

Congrats. That is what its all about.

Excellent day and you deserve banner on these finds. This is something we all dream about, but I haven't struck gold yet this year. I'm pumped up to hit the river this weekend now. Congratulations.

Wow ScooperDave, congrats that is a HUGE find.

Any recommendations for equipment to a newbie treasure hunter? I live a few blocks from the beach in Long Beach. Any recommendations on equipment or where the best places on the beach are to search? Any times of the day, places in Los Angeles, or any other tips would be EXCELLENT!

I don't have a waterproof metal detector yet unfortunately... maybe if I can find some bounty then I could pay for one hehheehe :)

Excellent congrats
