Vino invited me up to hunt with him and NJBen, I drove up and hunted four hours with some great finds, the King George is soaking in oil, hope to pull a date later, I can almost see a date. Found six cool buttons, any ID help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again to George, always exciting hunting with him, I'll let him and Ben tell you what they found.

Enjoy the pix, I'll update later with a date (I hope)

Brad

That was a great hunt Brad. Your button is an awesome find - WTG!!

Awesome!, same place we all hunted?

Great finds. That button is awesome! :notworthy:

I am really thinking of hiding one of MINE so Chris can say he has found one, Treb! Nice buttons....are some of those reenactment ones?

Great finds. Love the 64th reg. button. I usually hunt by myself but always enjoy company. Must be a blast with you guys getting out and making all these finds.

I got skunked...It was the coin lickers day...lol...

looked like a great time with some really nice finds (of course!) the comradery must be just as great, you lucky dogs

Good group of finds, and the 64th is a looker.

Dam, that's a kick in the teeth. I thought it was real deal.
Thanks for clearing that up. Two of the other buttons look like possible reenactment buttons, but three of those buttons look like the real deal to me. I really thought that 64 was not a replica. Oh well, still fun for awhile.

Thats the cool thING about that place, you pull so many buttons and some are the real deal and some arent, you just never know, still way better than clad and pulltabs!!

That would be a mean trick, lol, yeah two or three, I still want to see a real 64 button to compare

Thats what I thought, if anyone knows it would be ironpatch, not me (I'm still wet behind the ears)

Yeah, I pulled my first target of the day and it was a suspect replica, but the third target after that one was a real button, very exciting

I was wondering that myself. How can you tell? Lack of a seam?

Has the look, and the other pewter numbered British I've seen with the cable border had a flat back. Maybe I could be wrong, but I'd certainly be on a mission to prove it one way or the other if I found it.

Check out this photo, I googled 64 regiment button

The upper right hand button is exactly what I have, size wise too.
