Yesterdays best find. It wasn't that easy to research which coin this is and especially from which year. But I finally did manage to do that, it is Russian kopek from 1710, not so common find :) I have found few younger kopeks before but never this old.

Edit. This actually might be from 1713, not quite sure.

That is a really cool copper I can see why it was hard to look up! Congrats on it!!!

Very good research and that kopek is in good shape
for such an old Russian coin.

That's a beauty I would cherish that bad boy. Well done

man what a VERY cool find!!! Big congrats and Slainte!!! :occasion14:

Please do not try to clean it any better as it's not worth taking a chance ruining such a beauty!

Wow! Congrats on that beauty. Must of been a blast dusting that one off. Very nice coin.

Nice find, congrats! :occasion14:

Some parts of Finland ground is already frozen but not in the West part where I live, it's been like -2°C to 5°C so I can still dig. I'm going again today after work :)

Good Luck

Very nice early 1700s coin!
I'm assuming the date is represented by Cyrillic letters, rather than numbers?
