krango's finds 4th sept

hiya all i had an enjoyable day at the dig it was good chatting to jim and filternozzle and the sun stayed with us all day i found part of a buckle,two lead items,five buttons,a one penny,two half pennys i dont know what the big iron thing is or the star shaped item or the little round thing anyone any ideas

That's a nice handful of goodies! Not sure what the iron is, but would like to see it again after you clean it.

good idea could be, any suggestions on how i can clean it up so far i have soaked it in warm soapy water and scrubbed it with an old toothbrush

Nice finds. That star almost looks like the rowel of a spur, but it might be to small.
