Relic Hunting
Since the new arrival of our new addition, I haven't had too much time to get out, but I managed a couple keepers when I have including a very solid and sexy Stephen-Putney Battle Axe Shoe company watch fob.
Reverse reads:
"Battle axe Shoe Company" , "Built on Honor" Stephen-Putney Shoe Co. Richmond Va. Here is one similar selling on ebay

Probably the nicest fob I have dug to date that I can recall. What is it with me digging shoe company memorabilia relics lately? :laughing7: Dug in North Carolina hunting with my buddy Ken Whitley, this fob is reflective of Civil war Confederate soldier Honor. I was detecting with the Minelab Etrac, accompanied by the mighty CoilTek 12x8 DD All Terrain Coil. (Platypus) The more I use this coil, the more impressed I am with depth and separation capabilities. The other relics were dug using the Minelab GPX 5000 series high mineral busting machine, at some pretty impressive depths.

Thanks for looking~

Caption under shoe factory "...Built of concrete, no insurance necessary..."

Funny how differently people's frame of mind was back then.
