Last Couple Of Old Farmhouse Hunts ~ IHs, Buff, Wheats, & Silver
Got chance to hunt an old farmstead on Sunday afternoon and again on Monday afternoon. The wind was whipping and it was chilly but at least I was digging enough to keep me warm. This old farm house was torn down many years ago and the site is now a farm field in soy bean stubble. My finds were:
~1950 Rosie (my first silver coin of the year)
~1919 Buffalo Nickle (decent shape and very readable date)
~Jefferson Nickle (undateable)
~1892 IH (bad condition)
~1907 IH (bad condition)
~3 wheats (very bad condition and undateable)
~several buckle pieces
~2 wheels from old toys
~1 old button
~several other house/farm type relics.
It was a nice couple of hunts before the fields are planted in corn in the next few days.
