Despite the creeping freeze, I managed a few finds in the last several weeks of 2019. I’m finally getting around to sharing....

The gold ring is only my second gold find in the four years I have been detecting, the 1st one was just earlier this year also. I assume the swastica button is a domestic item that pre-dates the Nazis but if anyone can identify it as German militaria I would appreciate the information. It’s back is rotted away.

I also dug a crusty 1864 Indian Head, which is my oldest (dated) coin dug. It’s pictured top center of the crusty coin group photo.

The last photo is the first humble finds of 2020. Does anyone know what the clip/buckle thing is?

Hey thanks! I wasn’t familiar with the Black Hill style. With that information I was able to identify the signature as being Landstrom's. Thanks again for the ID!

Very nice finds! There are a few varieties on the 1864 IHP, I can't see what yours is but you should definitely check that if you haven't already.

Before the Nazi's ruined a cool design, the swastika was a good luck symbol and I am guessing this is lucky token. Sometimes the swastika goes in the other direction. Seen a few old swastika crocks that way. All great finds that would have made it into my treasure chest.

Nice finds, big congrats! I like the swastika. I think we need to reclaim it as good at some point so whats-his-name can be history.

I think the Swastika the other way is called a Sauwastika... has something to do with shamanism, bhuddism, hinduism, and jainism.

Hickok makes garter and suspender clips, so, probably one of those.
