[Gare]

This is the last picture taken of my Horse John Wayne's The Duke (JW) He had cancer very bad

So sorry. Real honest to God pets, regardless of what form they're in, are family as much as any human relative. At least, they're in a better place now. RIP!

[Mackaydon]

Sending prayers for comfort your way.

[Sandog]

Sorry to hear about John Wayne. Always enjoyed the pictures of him that you posted.

[russau]

My deepest condolances to you ! I know what it is to lose a pet & a family member !

I have been where you are now, so I feel for how deep it hurts. Unless someone has owned a horse, known their unique personalities, and enjoyed their company for 30ish years, they don't understand how deep and strong the connection is.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Be thankful your buddy is no longer hurting.

[Sandog]

Were you able to bury him on your property, Gare?

[guest]

@Gare - I know it offers little comfort, but I am deeply sorry for your loss.
I know how hard it is to lose a loved one.
I wish you and your wife the strength to cope with this loss.
