Just finished adding some grizzly bars to my Le Trap gold pan. I wanted to make it a more efficient for prospecting and testing in coarse gravels. It is just 1/4" mild steel round stock welded with a cheap stick welder. Would look much better if I had a TIG Welder. Wanted to share the idea with everyone! I haven't tested it yet and probably won't be able to right off because of going back on my work rotation.

Thanks, Ben

Back to the original post, I really like your design Ben. I think I will build one like it for mine. Just getting down to 1/4 or 3/8 is what I like in the field to speed things up. I may go down in the size of the steel stock to 3/16 to make it a touch lighter

Thanks Vance. 3/16" stock would probably work just as well. 1/4" is a bit overkill for a plastic pan. Let me know how it works if you build one.
