Lead "Artifact"?

Lead artifact of just a chunk of lead? Dimensions are 3" in length x 1 1/4 " outer diameter, flat part is 3/4". Thickness ranges from 1/8 to 3/16. It was found at 8" depth in front of an 1860s cabin. It appears to be made from lead with hammer marks.


Any ideas will be appreciated.
