Left the metal detector at home and went lookin' for glass.

The creek had LOADS of marbles including a great shooter thats red and yellow and a large clay one.I also found a couple of bottles I have already found one of those little vicks bottles while MDing heres another one, frostilla bottle (its not brown its just dirty its really clear, a porcelain door knob ,half a bisque baby , a porcelain horse that at one time had a rider which has seen better days. This certain creek was used as a dump from 1880's till the 1940's.So items have a good age range.I guess the shooter marble is the best find today.I have never seen so many marbles in one creek before and i am sure we missed some ! The hurricane made all the creeks in my area over flow a lot and that drag out all kinds of oldies ! ;D

Reddie,

Awesome finds!! Know nothing about marbles, but I love to find old ones. Love those bottles too, I like to research to find out more about each one.

Looks like you had a good day at the creek.

GREAT MARBLES!! I don't know anything about them, but they sure bring back fond memories. I've never seen a Vick's bottle that was so small. It's cool.

Looks like you had a good day playing in the creek and getting wet (based on the drops of water in the background of your pic). ;)
