Let's see what you found this year

A couple people have posted great photos of what they've found in 2012. I was thinking it could be cool to have one thread where people could post their finds from (in a few short hours from now) last year. After taking years off I started hunting again in November. All these were found near my house, on the coast of Mssachusetts.

Nice Matt. You have had a busy year but pulled some nice ones out lately. Happy New Year.

H.H. to you Steve! 2013. Thank you for everything.

This isn't everything I found in 2012, but it's some of the better pieces from a new site I found last Spring. These were all found on one farm right along the Ohio River. I was just feeling it out last year and I think this year I'll do a lot better since I got a feel for where the pieces are found.

Love that scraper.. I would have showed that one too. I usually don't bother posting scrapers like alot of us. Seems like the area you found that bell pestle should be pretty central to the bulk of the material. Nice finds..and best of luck this year.

Thanks GB. That Scraper is actually a Multi-Tool. It has a Scraper edge. a nice sharp Knife edge, and two Graver tips. What was cool about this find is I found it in the drainage ditch next to the field.

Here's the in situ of it.

Smart to check there. Cool piece.

These are all from 2012 as well and from two sites. The first 6 pics are all from a site in Lawrence county, Ohio and the others are from my site on the banks of the Ohio River.

And these were all acquired either through trade, by buying, or as gifts during 2012.

The first 5 pics are pieces from Ohio.

The 6th is two Charcos Points from Texas.

The 7th is Gun Flints from New York.

The 8th is Frileys from Louisiana.

The 9th is various Points from Colorado.

The 10th is a tray of pieces from a Mandan site in North Dakota.

the 11th and 12th are Frio Points from Texas.

The 13th is also from Texas and was my Secret Santa gift this year.

The last two pics were also a Secret Santa gift and it is a piece of a Grass Sandal found in a dry cave in Utah.

image #11 looks like the eyes and face of the artifact devil
(the left one)

That one is weird. I see a goat head. Are those two fire pops?

Yes, it is fire popped on both sides. That was what I really liked about it. Not only was it a killer Frio made from Root Beer Flint, it had those "eyes" on it that I thought was really cool.

Here's another pic showing how nice the Flint is.

That rootbeer Flint is some nice stuff for sure. It seems to hold an edge extremely well.
