lets see your best penny finds

I would like to see some of your best and oldest penny finds

I can't CRH pennies in the US. My oldest penny from a coin lot is 1862. I do have an older British penny (1797), but I intentionally bought it, not found it a bag of coins (a mini hunt, you never know what your next coin may be).

My oldest CENT is 1912. I cleaned part of it because even though I got it from circulation, it was metal detected in the past by someone. Therefore, the back is a little shiny.

Oldest penny finds, 1889 IHC, 1909 Type II, 1910 S, 1914 D 1919 S, 1920 P S, and so on

my best "penny" find was a silver dime I found in a penny roll a few months back. 1953?? not sure of the year....I don't usually search penny rolls that often. As far as actual penny finds go....I think the wheatie I got a few weeks ago in change was my best, it's not worth much but it is the oldest coin I found in pocket change. It was a 1939-S.

My best find so far would be a 1970 S small date I posted on a thread already. I have found a few semi key wheat also.

Why did you slab it? Wide AM??

Correctamundo, sir, but they're worth a fraction of what the '99 is worth.

Thought so. Still learning. I don't know how you guys keep up with all the different errors and varieties. Especially with regard to pennies.

I only check for a few certain varieties in memorials... '60 SD, '69-S DDO, '70-S SD, '72 DDO, '83 DDR, '83 Coppers, '92 CAM, '92-D CAM, '95 DDO, and '98-'00 WAM's.
