I am so happy with this. It came up foil, but was a nice smooth signal so I dug it. Am so glad I did . Photos not the best. Have to invest in a better camera.
WOW! That silver is pre-Civil War sweet, great find, George told me this morning. Congrats, and your pix were great too. I hope you find that gold coin that you want so bad.
Gold coin is my dream. Not much chance of that. But fun trying. I could do this every day, but have a house and husband to keep. Got to take advantage of this perfect weather!
But, you see, us colonials treat the country's lands as one humongous trash can. We just ball up our foil and let fly, (nobody will EVER know! )
What I mean is that if I go to a park/school etc. and I dug EVERY foil signal, I would essentially be plowing the park. LOL I suspect it's a problem there too, across the pond, but maybe, just maybe not quite so much in the lands you search. Fields/woods/farms. If ya catch my drift. LOL
I know what you mean. And most of the time I would not dig. But, with the AT Pro, it was a nice solid signal. Just felt different. No low high low, just a smooth mid beep. Just got lucky.
There's a school I detect that is so trashy I have to ground balance before I go on sight. There's no place that doesn't contain some sort of trash/goodies.
Those are tough to get for sure. All of my very small (worn half-real size and smaller) silvers IDed as foil on my detectors. Makes one wonder how many are being passed over still because they sound like can slaw.
