Nice haul !

I dove on shipwrecks off the coast of New York and New England for over 25 years.
The last Lobster I caught was on a wreck off Long Island in 190 ft. of water - it weighed 12 lbs.
I still have the claws mounted on wood in my basement.

Bait... basically any fish that I have on hand. i fillet a lot of haddock in the spring and can usually get plenty of mackerel or menhaden in the summer.

My boat is an affordable little fishing platform for me and my sons...2004 19ft Trophy

The gear is simple enough... wire cages with mesh funnels to trap the lobsters. I am allowed 10 traps.. they are a mix of commercial ‘hand-me-downs’ and smaller recreational size pot. I set them in 25’ of water off the rocky coast just outside of my home harbor... mostly because I can get to them quickly if a storm kicks up..
