I've sent pm's to some of the folks on this thread who have recent activity on tnet. I'm sure there are others interested.

THIS THREAD IS GOING NOWHERE.

If we want a place to hunt/get together, it's going to take work, from more than one person, to research, find a location or two, and get permission.

For those interested in helping, lets do it. I will NOT take this task up as the sole organizer/researcher-I'm way to busy to do that. I WILL help as part of a team working towards a goal that gets some of us locals together for some fun.

I'm checking PM's. I will call, probably from my truck or job site, so don't be put off if I seem hurried and to the point-I'm just super busy the entire month of February and its not even the busy season yet! If anything will happen, we can't sit idle and wish-with just a little work, I bet we can come up with some fun stuff.

I wanted to wait for the cold weather to be over. I only have Sundays available right now. I want to go to Pilot Grove Creek and get the OK from property owners and if anyone has a canoe/boat to down the creek to look for crossing from that perspective would be good too. No, I am so busy til April 15th in the tax business......... I would want to go there to contact the owners to get the OK to look first. Going down the creek we would not have to do that though.

I did go down a mile of the creek and want to go back. No sign of a crossing. A boat would be a plus.

Having trouble locating anything about the legend - found where it's referenced in a 1999 publication but there's a fee to download. If you can share any more details either on here or via PM I'll be happy to start sifting through my resources and try to assist with location(s) of viable interest. I just got my detector and may be able to plan a time to join / assist in scouting on a weekend morning.
