Hello
Had a few hours to kill this afternoon so I decided to hunt a park I used to play in as a kid. It's funny, how the trees look so much smaller now then when we were young!
This park was built in about 1960 and had a small tot lot play area when I used it. It also has a baseball diamond with a backing fence, but the diamond has always been grass. I spoke to a neighbour that came over to see if I'd found anything of interest and he told me, "that it had always been grass and he had lived there since 1966." I also remember a girl I was dating once told me that she had lost a bracelet in the park that had belonged to her mother.
I started by hunting the tot lot, which has been enlarged since the last time I was here. I found the usual pennies and even a couple of Loonies ($1) coins!
I even found 6 more Memorials!
After an hour of baking in the 90F heat, I decided to head to the ball diamond. I dug a couple of unusual tokens and a very cool looking cowboy pendant, it was about 6" down. It says on the reverse "Solid Copper" below a foundry stamp of some kind. I think it possibly dates to the late 1950's or early 60's?
I'd be interested in hearing any thoughts on this piece.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
Dave

Our earths temperatures are definitely changing, that's for sure!
It's accepted at par to the CDN dollar, just goes to show that US currency really is accepted "everywhere"!
