I was born in a two room log cabin and lived there for the first seven years of my life. The log cabin is still standing on our land but is in bad repair. I can remember lying in bed and looking between the logs watching the dogs play outside. My great granddaddy homesteaded the place in the late 1800's. The log cabin was there when he came there. I've done a little detecting there in the last year since I became obsessed with the hobby, but it's all manicured lawn now and I hate to dig deep holes. I have found a couple of flat buttons behind the house in the pasture and can only imagine what may be in the yard. My vaquero beeps every step when walking through the front yard. I can remember how much I missed the cabin when we moved to the new house. Those were "THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE". :icon_sunny:
