Yea,it has changed, but all things do

Members come and go, we have had members return recently who were gone for awhile. We must average 75 -100 new members a day, some days more..

yea i know things changed just want to see who is still on from long ago.

I've been here since Feb 2005. Def not the same as it use to be (and I miss it), but I do check in and see what's been going on with my hunting buddies. I have a lot of the old timers on my FB, so we keep up with each other more there than here.

I've been on T-Net since before 2000. I've come and gone several times, and each time I had to make a new name because email accounts had changed and I couldn't remember old passwords.

Yeah, it's sad when you come back and the names you used to see posting every day are gone but I have watched that happen on many different forums.

Six years ago the forum seemed more family like. I see very few members using this forum. Want to see who is still using forum from members 2006 and earlier. Check in time.

In '98 or so, when I first read and posted here, ....... believe it or not, there really wasn't too many "forums" at the time. And especially not regionally specific, or topic specific (ie.: certain states, or certain *types* of hunting, blah blah). And few pictures. In the mid '90s the internet was still fairly young, slow, etc...

I remember bumping into some hunters from San Jose, CA (the cradle/birthplace of all things 'puter related, it seems :)) in about '96 or so, and them saying "you need to go to Treasurenet, and you can see what they're finding back east, in England, etc....". At that time, as I recall, it was just a single page or board, and not a bunch of specific sub-categories, like there is now. There may have been more md'ing websites out there at the time, but since search engines were crude at the time, it was probably harder to find them.

Been here since July 2006, no plans to go anywhere else, no reason to do so...

Yea I remember reading it in early 2000 and a lot of people come and gone. I remember your name nana also you jason in enid. I rember a lot of the louisiana hunters.

You wouldn't remember my name from back then. I think I went by Gandalf or something like that.

Yeah, back in the day this was reallly all we had. There were a couple other boards but they only had a handful of members. Then Rick had a falling out and started up the treasuredepot. Findmall was around but was very tiny also. For a time, TN all but died. All the fighting among members kind of drove everyone away. It's all cyclical.

Anyone here remember "the general" and "TNP", "sodapop pirates". So many have come and gone.

I been on here since Oct. 2007 but I was lookin at it for a few years before then. I think I do remember that 'gandalf'. I like the new members comin in and try to say hey to some of them. Even the Tejanos.

dont remember gandalf did you go by anything close to your name already

The new members will be the "long time" members in the future.

does it count if I just feel old?

Sure why not. I would like to hear from some of the older people that were here. They got me interested in being here. Now some of the newer ones turn everything into a verbal war.

So what does that mean for the old members?

Not sure what your asking, but your welcome to talk to all the members you want, both long time and new. I see you joined the same time I did :occasion14:.

Verbal and flame wars will earn timeouts....

Treasure hunter you state that our new members will be our future. My question was "what about our old members"? Do I need a timeout?

Timeout for What.:icon_scratch: I simply meant new members today will be more long time members down the road....Old members are always a vital part of TN..... Heck they are who taught me what I learned here....

I joined in 2007 and did not post much. I always and still do enjoy the what's it section. I learned the most from that forum. I missed being a old timer by one year.
