Six years ago the forum seemed more family like. I see very few members using this forum. Want to see who is still using forum from members 2006 and earlier. Check in time.
In '98 or so, when I first read and posted here, ....... believe it or not, there really wasn't too many "forums" at the time. And especially not regionally specific, or topic specific (ie.: certain states, or certain *types* of hunting, blah blah). And few pictures. In the mid '90s the internet was still fairly young, slow, etc...
I remember bumping into some hunters from San Jose, CA (the cradle/birthplace of all things 'puter related, it seems

) in about '96 or so, and them saying "you need to go to Treasurenet, and you can see what they're finding back east, in England, etc....". At that time, as I recall, it was just a single page or board, and not a bunch of specific sub-categories, like there is now. There may have been more md'ing websites out there at the time, but since search engines were crude at the time, it was probably harder to find them.
