Hello everyone out there, I need some advice. I am looking for a cache that has gold coins and I was wondering if any of you have used the Garrett ATX with any success? I am going to be dealing with alot of hot rocks and lots of mineralization!! Any suggestions will be awesome, also can any one tell me if they have been using the Garrett ATX and what you think of it? Thanks....BTW I have a Whites TM 808 that I am trying to figure out..

The ATX is a great machine for what you are looking for, provided it is not more than 30" deep.

Either one will find it. I use a Whites Surfmaster PI and it has picked up a boat anchor at 4'. You can probably pick up a used one for about $350. Frank
