✅ SOLVED Looking for approximate date on this Infantry Button

[Hunk-a-lead]

this portion of a two piece button has a 1 inch diameter and is made of copper or brass or similar metal. it is only one side and there are no markings at all since the back is missing. any specific ID on this infantry button or date of issue is very much appreciated. thanks and happy new year from KC.

Based on the thick rim/border it has an appearance of a Type 1 (1910-1924) Collar Insignia (AKA Collar Brass, Collar Disc) but the rifles are positioned wrong. The right side rifle should lay over the left one.

Based on having a rim, right now I'd say 1910 to early WWII, if that late. A little more research might narrow it down some.

Trying to see if rifle position variations exist.

ETA: Did find some WWI and WWII Collar Discs with the reversed rifle layout.

Going to stick with the Type 1 1910-1924 Collar Disc ID for now. I did find some from that time period with the crossing of the rifles reversed.
