You could read some reviews, I can't personally vouch for it- but it seems to have an excellent reputation?!?!
I can vouch for the F2, I got one for the wife, at the same time a got my F5, but I have spent some time swinging it. It's insane how lightweight it is, and I've found copper pennies/dimes at very close to the deepest I've found them with the F5- 6 inches.
The recovery speed is fast, even when compared to the most expensive units out there. You could have a screw and a Quarter in the same hole, right on top of one another and in all metal you'll get a hit for both- not just a signal that sounds like trash because swinging left sounds like iron, but right sounds like a Quarter. You'll get two sounds very close together and opposing- high/low one way then low/high the other. I've actually experienced this exact situation- that's why I used the example.
I love my F5 but I have often thought, maybe an F2 and a pro pointer would have been better than the F5 alone. I have the fisher F pointer. And it's light years behind Garrett's pinpointer and the Minelab unit. So if your looking into pinpointers for the future, consider one of those.
If you get an F2- you'll be very happy I think.
