Looks like I've joined the "Texas Navy".

Almost got enough Texas navy buttons to make my own coat. I was just sitting around this afternoon, and the fever hit. I grabbed my detector, and went to the woods. It was almost dark by the time I got there. My first signal was made with three minutes after I got started. I couldn't believe my eyes when another Texas Navy button rolled out.

So far I have found seven of them. Three small ones, and three coat size. One of them I only found the cap part of the button with the Texas navy on it.

It dates back to the first Texas Navy in 1836.

WoW, River! :o Seven of those beauties! 8) Isn't it somehow strange, how there are times when you just gotta get to that particular spot and hunt it. :icon_pirat:

Awesome find! Nana

Re: Looks like I've joined the "Texas Navy".

I do appreciate all the comments. Nana it is something when you are just sitting around, and it just strikes you to get up, and go. As if some said "hey you've got to get out there, there's a good find waiting for you". It seems to happen that way. Like a little voice is talking to you. I'll never understand, but when I hear that little voice I'll be on my way.
