Well ... I lent the ring to my girlfriend for a few minutes ....she was playing with and she managed to smash it to pieces ... :'(

What a fool she is !!

Looks like Viking Runes, maybe earlier the you think. How do you smash a silver ring into pieces? Accidentally drop a hammer on it? Nice find anyway and HH, Mike

well ... really I dont know I think she tried to untwist it with her fingers ( how stupid she may be !!! )and the ring literally fell into pieces .That's unbelievable , I had never seen that before;

I wonder if it was White Metal or Very old lead, or silver that it crumbled.

It's definately a shame, as it is a Nice find.

Don't be too hard on her though. I'm sure most of us have destroyed something we found, while trying to Fix it just a Little bit better :D

Can it be Glued together with Crazy Glue & placed in a Display ?

It still would make a Nice Show piece in my opinion.

Ive never seen a coin like that it may be worth a bundle the more rare the more money its worth,tammahawk

ps/ I think she didn't do it on purpose ok but Its a shame as it is a very rare item and I did tell her to be extremely carreful just before . But no matter now , but she should be ashamed though ...
