Gotta head to REI soon and start picking up some things for my trip this fall - I'm already getting antsy to go!

That place is expensive! Don't you have a Sportsman Warehouse or Bass Pro Shop up there? :D

Come to think of it, a Bass Pro Shop opened up not too far away - I haven't been to one since I lived in the midwest. Sounds like a weekend road trip - I'm sure the wife will be thrilled to come along :P

Cool pic Cub fan... GO CUBS!!!
Went to my first professional game a couple
weeks ago! They played the giants...but lost.
:stop: Don't go there people. :D Had a blast
and drank 1,2,3,4,5 or so? Can't remember
...it was a work "field trip". Free Tickets!! Had
that giant pizza for lunch down the street from
the stadium in Chicago...By the way I'm gonna
buy a "walk and seek" and pretend that it's on
while I look for arrowheads just for you. Well
heck maybe I should turn it on!

Ok, you got my attention!!! I'd love to see this thing if "I'm allowed". Didn't mean any insult by the "not moving it" comment, was just asking :)

Hey guys, I was only passing on what my buddy had told me. I don't have any research on the subject, myself. I'll be talking to him in a couple of weeks about one of our areas, so I'll ask him about it then. Good luck.

Thanks - any additional information is always interesting to read. Hopefully you didn't take any offense and your buddy won't either to our questions and desire to see something documented. I've only been seriously interested in all things LDM for about 2-3 years now and I can already count on 2 hands the number of people who claim to have found it and/or have stories about friends who know friends who know friends who know all about it, etc...

It's a darn difficult legend to try to find the wheat in the HUGE piles of chaff if you know what I mean :)

Hope to hear from you or your friend sometime.

Great! I look forward to his response :)

Lady D, The Supers is a wilderness area, so there is no treasure hunting or prospecting allowed. Well, I guess you could treasure HUNT, but not keep. Don't have to worry about poison oak, that stuff needs water, so you're safe. I'd suggest one of the trail heads on the north or east side to begin with, and only in the winter.

Randy

Thanks Randy...I am deathly allergic to the stuff...wound up in the hospital many times from the central CA mountains. Oh rats cannot keep anything from the supers...bummer...well I want to go see anyways :) I guess I can keep any photographs I take :)

Thanks again, Deedy

How many times have you seen, a "Post",
where someone says:
....."Where did you find that!"
....."When are you going to post photos"
....."I'd love to see a video! "
....."Where can I get info on that ?"

Now!
I as a FULL Time TH'er/Prospector, "I", certainly feel that I DO NOT! wish reveal anything,
that might reveal the location of anything, that I am working on!
As any " Seeker " of any treasure/site, would want to do!
These persons are asking for valuable, hard gained information
&,
REALLY!
Why Should I ?
After all, I am going into the field (weeks & Months) and follow these "leads/info" etc, in hopes of finding a treasure
They will and ARE NOT! Going to !
& Yes!
I have asked them (various persons), many, many times to go along!
But!
They'd rather just want to sit at home and fullfill their curiosity
In FACT!
I believe that in this "topic?" I have asked if anyone would like into head off into "The Superstitions", with
"Doc" & myself ?

I'd definitely would go along. I can walk from dusk till dawn.
It would be up to you with what I could keep. If I'm ever in the
area I'd like to help out! My lips are sealed!

"It's Not on Iron Mnt"
Hey!
Djui5;
You really didn't expect me to reveal the ACTUAL location of
That Black Boulder did you ????

I used the old Spanish Trick of sending anyone who'd look, 180* in the other direction!
::)

(Those Spanish sure, were "Devils" weren't they??)
;D

It would be a long, hard trek from Iron Mnt to it's actual location! ;D

BUT!
Yes! There is a much easier way to get there! 8)

I don't even know what you guys are looking for. It doesn't matter to me. It's the thrill of the hunt!

Hi cptbild,

I'm not sure who your post was addressed to, but if I lived in the area, I'd be more than happy to go out exploring with you. I think the reason you probably don't get many people who accompany you is between your schedule (which you have to admit isn't usually well defined and is VERY subject to change at the last minute) and the fact that folks who DON'T hunt for treasures full time (most all of us) have very limited time to go out. Most of us have to schedule something like that well in advance - either because of family obligations or work schedules or such.

I'm POSITIVE many of us would love the opportunity to head out for a day or two with you and Doc - it's not for lack of desire, it just (sadly enough) is difficult to schedule.

I'll be out there in October, so if I see you posting around that time and you happen to be in the area, I'd be happy to join you for a day or two.

Just my two-bits worth. I like to play desert Rat in the winter time here in arizona.Summer time I stay home.and become a book worm.I don't know if that makes me full or part-time prospector. But I do work alone mostly. for most people I know are working at thier jobs. I would like to have some one to go with. But when you are retired ya got all the time you want..So if some one wants me to with them hell yea. Lets go. But if I am in the middle of a project. Lets talk. nuff said. plain ole Buck

Hey, Buck. Couldn't tell from your post on here, but are you more interested in prospecting or searching the lost mine?
