NOW! Get This!
I once had a person,
Write and say!
He'd come along,
BUT!
Only if the trip wasn't a waste of (his) time !
HE! Actually, expected for me to guarantee that he'd find a treasure!! :tongue3:
Man!
Can you believe that! :tard:
Like!
I'm supposed to find a treasure everytime Me'n Bugs, go out !!!!

“I'll be out there in October”

Leaving Phoenix Oct 24th for a couple of weeks in Florida, before that I'm pretty much open to meet anywhere out there. Email me, I took a picture on my last trip that I'm sure you will be interested in.

To cptbil or cptbild (in the Cubfan64 response to you cptbild) “I think the reason you probably don't get many people who accompany you is between your schedule (which you have to admit isn't usually well defined and is VERY subject to change at the last minute)…”

I echo that statement also. I, like most every one else, would like to schedule a particular date for an outing not just “sometime in the fall.” Even though I am somewhat retired I still have commitments to keep.

To Randy (djui5)
“Well I found some info on this Johnson mine”

That location looks familiar. It is on the north east slope of Rich hill. There is a ranch house just about at that very location. You can usually drive right up to it as the gate is open most of the time. The guy that lives there grades the roads/trails all over that area. Ask Bill Southern about it. He is (or was the last I knew) care taker for many claims in that area. I haven’t seen Bill at a Roadrunner meeting in quite a while (cost of gas probably has something to do with that)
Any news on the Dutch Hunters Rendezvous this fall?

Thanks! I'll have to check it out. Is that the same guy that grades the road that runs to Castle Hot Springs road that runs through LSD wash?
I haven't seen Bill in a while either. Think he's posting on his forum though. Gotta check in over there soon anyway.

The Rendezvous is going to be fantastic this year! It'll be the 24th, 25th and 26th of October at the Don's camp. You coming? Clay Worst is going to speak Fri night.

You're probably right (see post #63)
But!
Going out for the lenght of time(s) that I go for .... (sites/treasure)
AND!
With just general locations to go to, I really, can't definately schedule any times/dates
I don't know what I'll run into....
Like last March,
When, I was "DogCanyon" NM,
The area I was heading for in Ariz. (NE of Payson) was closed due to a Forest Fire
So!
I continued farther west, & headed over to see "Mr Blackfoot" (a week early) , who was at the time, in the Bradshaw Mnts,
So!
You can see, what causes and why, I don't even try to set up a schedule

I am sorry to hear it is being held on those dates. I was really hoping that it would be the week earlier as I will be leaving to visit with my widowed mom. She has seen three of the dear fellows she married buried, the first was my dad, and don't think she is going to try again.) My trip to Florida where she lives is scheduled from Oct 21st to Nov 5th. Her 89th birthday is Oct 25th and she is active in politics so I will be escorting her to the polls this year.

Is there any chance that somebody will be taping Clay's presentation? I sure would like to hear it. Maybe it could be put on Youtube or some other site for those of us who just can't make it in person. I will certainly be there in spirit.

Bill,

Sometimes I would like to be as "loose" as you seem to be. But as I stated earlier, I still have commitments to attend to... When??? I find the 'big one' first thing I will do is erase my calender.

Good luck in your searching. Hope you find it... If you are ever in, or near town give a shout, maybe WE (I would like to include Randy) can hook up long enough to share some ideas over a cup of java.

Great, now how do I get to hear it? can you put it on YouTube? Are you local? (PHX) I can only assume from your signature that you are from Arizona. PM or email me if you want a personal reply or phone number.

Cptbil,

I’d be interested! I have the time and I have plenty of information as this has been a personal quest of mine for the last 10 years.

Hay Gang!
Here's a question?
The Lost Dutchman's Mine was only ONE! of
The Peralta's Family of mines that are in The Superstition Mnts
Was it even one of their rich mines :tongue3:
How many of the other Peralta Mines have been found?

Well quite a few "Spanish" mines have been found. Tying one of them to the Peralta family can be quite difficult of course. You never really know who dug a hole in the ground unless they left you a note :)
