Lost my detector

So today I went to use my metal detector in the truck and it's not there. Small amount of panic I decided that I must of drove away without it at the last park I was metal detecting.
Now there's just a lot of homeless people that are always in a park in the metal tech is worth about 1600.00.
So I'm figuring I'll never see the Metal detector again.. I drive down to the park and walk through the park talking to All the homeless in the park.my business card with them and offering an award for the detector.
I was most interested in talking to a gentleman that's always there and his pile of found items covered up all the time. Of Course he was not there.
I'm lost property form for the Tucson Police Department and I sit in the parking lot waiting for this guy to come back.
The phone Rings and it's one of the homeless women that has found my metal detector. She is one park over at the time.
I drive over and sure enough she has my metal detector so I gave her $100 reward

What a great story,glad the lady was so honest. We have. Even thinking about getting some groin the dark duct tape for our pinpointers and small digging shovels.

I use Bright Orange & yellow Duct Tape.

Bad thing this time of year there are Bright Orange & yellow leaves laying everywhere,
So I need to be extra hopeful it doesn't get kicked under them if I do drop or leave it behind.

Us old I mean more experienced men do have a brain fart every now and then. I left my brand new digger and garret PP on a bench. Got all the way home and realized I had misplaced it. Drove back and it still there on a bench I had sat on. Park full of people. It renewed my faith in people. It hapens to the best of us I guess.

Apologies. It wasn't meant as an insult, but was an opinion considering the value of the returned item. The "cheap" was to describe at the amount of the reward. I probably could have worded that better.

You know I post a story to have fun. Then you get people that pick it apart and criticize you. Here was my thoughts on my reward. One it was what I had on me. Two she may use it to get drugs. Three I was not required to give her a dime it was mine.

As for the should not drive comment. We all make stupid mistakes. I hunt almost every day. Bound to make a stupid mistake sooner or latter. Almost sorry I wrote the story.

simply Because I need my $$ as much as she does.

hopefully she could still have found some drugs with $20.
if not the Illegal Kind, the Alcohol kind should be able to be had for a $20
