By the way, thanks for the Golden Phone insight! Just bring your cell phones because ain't nothin' been 35 cents here in a loooooong time, golden or not! 8)

Gas up to $3.09, $3.07 and $3.20 today here, depending on which ripoff joint you turn in to.

By the way, all you hunters, when you fill up in Rayville, stay away from the RaceTrack, which is between the Chevron and the Exxon. Trust me.

Fonfixer is a new Louisiana member. Go to the La section and look down at a New Member posting and read it. Its another one I got to join and is planning on coming to the Hunt. Go welcome him if you haven't already....I'm surprised you missed anything!

And YES, I am coming and will be camping out with RickyP, fonfixer and myself and whoever else we bring with us. I will be sending a check shortly so count me in!!!

This hunt sounds like a blast!!!

Unfortunately I'll still be in Iraq (or Kuwait) when the hunt happens. It looks like actually I'll be in Kuwait or on my way to Ft Bliss for demobilization when the hunt goes down.

Otherwise I'd be taking vacation and heading down. My wife's grandparents and some other kin live in McComb, MS so she can come down with me and visit them while I'm out huntn'!!!

Dang it noodle can't play with your alligators, fine be that way, I just have to go catch some cottonmouths for the first annual noodle cottonmouth roundup. We can start a trend. They more fun any way, you can't see them until you almost step on them and no rattles.

Now, THOSE little jewels I DO have! Don't see them very often, but they're around.

One good thing about md'ing; your head is looking down most of the time, so keep your eyes peeled good for critters! And don't forget: they're more afraid of you than you are of them. Well, all except for Dan, my a$$. He can hollar louder than any little girl I've ever seen. It's taken him 11 years, but he finally got used to spiders. Snakes are a different matter.

We ain't got no gators was kinda lookin forward to seein some of them!
I've only seen them in zoos and at Bass Pro Shop in Sreveport, some littlens in the tank out front and a stuffed albino inside.

Now as for the cotton mouths --Water moccisons, are state game guy said they ain't none around here I guess he dosen't go around the back water area just the dam, swimming area where there aren't any, I have seen plenty of them and had to abandon some fishin cause of them.

And NO the gator post ARE NOT scarin me I am enjoying them!!

In Louisiana we eat just about everything that is wild but I can't recall anybody eating a water moccasin ! Gator is real good, rattlesnake eats good too but never heard anybody coming up with a recipe for moccasin. Of course, just as soon as I state that I probably will get corrected!

Lord knows we have enough water moccasins here. It would probably be the State Snake!!

The problem with water moccasins are you would have to eat them young they stink as the get older and turn black. You can smell a really old moccasin long before you see it. It worst than a skunk which is about the only thing a Louisianian won't eat.

I've never seen someone dig for bottled water before. It must have been really hot!!!! No, it all makes sense, those detectors are those waterproof ones for the beach......I just thought they kept water out but really they are for FINDING water and showing PROOF that its there. Gosh, you learn a lot on TNF......so much to learn, so little time!!!
