I'm not going to be able to make it. My husband went to have his eyes checked Monday. He has two catrats on his right eye and one on his left. One of those on the right eye is the fast growing kind. He will be having eye surgery in two to three months.

Oh, Pepper, I'm sorry! I never heard of two cataracts in one eye. Wow! Sounds like a serious situation. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers and hope you can make the one next year, with your spouse along and very capable of seeing! Take care.

Sorry to hear Pepper. Most cataract surgeries are pretty easy with fairly fast recouperation. We'll keep you all in our prayers.

DG, My wife says anyone in La North of Alexandria is a "prarie cajun". Funny you should mention Bunkie. My first wife was from there, I have a daughter and grandaughter that live there now. My family was from Avoyelles, Cottonport, Mansura. Co Mo sa va? I want to come and see the museum up there sometimes!

Heya Tin, sorry to say, but I dont think there is any gambling in Rayville, but!!!!! Vicksburg is only about 45 mins away.

I am in on the hunt! Just got a pass from the wife, so I will be attending....more than likely I will camp out all weekend...can't wait! Money will be sent in on Monday!

Yes Tom said he made a reservation at the mud bog inn. Cost $5 a night to stay, so BB says...


Actually BB said the Days Inn I think. $75 a night for 3 nights. We're getting there on Friday and not leaving until Monday sometime. Heck I'm a nurse I might look for a job while there and never come back!!!
