Lordy, 'Daddy, your butt's gotta be FLAT! Soooooo good to see you this morning, and YES, I always sleep that late. (Ladies and gentlemen, he and Dave hit the road at 2:00 this morning, heading north from South Louisiana!). Lands, I had barely cut my alarm off this morning when the phone was ringing!! "Where can I get some coffee and where the hell are you?" Next time ya come, I hope you can stay longer than 5 minutes, and bring Dave with you when ya come back. Seems like a great guy! And he can bring the A$$.

And am SOOO glad you made it home safely. I know the ice was bad last night; glad to see it got better!

Pierre & Boudreaux at the LSU Office


Pierre and Boudreaux found themselves out of a job when the underwear factory in Port Barre shut down. But their boss said they could go to the LSU office -- you know ... the Louisiana State Unemployment Office -- so that Pierre and Boudreaux could get some money from the State while out of a job.
So Pierre and Boudreaux went to the LSU office.

As Pierre waited, Boudreaux sat down at a desk and was interviewed by the lady there.

"And what was your former occupation?" she asked.

"Me, I was a crotch stitcher. I specialized in ladies underpants." Boudreaux proudly replied.

So the lady looks it up in her big book and says, "OK, you're eligible for $50 a week."

"You mean I don't gotta do nothin' and I kin get $50 a week. Man, dats betta den crawfishin'!" Boudreaux shouted.

Then Pierre sat down and the lady asked him the same question.

Pierre looked her straight in the eye and said, "I was one a dem diesel fitters."

She looked up in her big book again and said "Very good then, you're eligible for $200 a week in unemployment benefits."

"Wait a minute!" Boudreaux shouted. "Mais, how come Pierre gets $200 a week, and me, I only get $50. I tole you I used to be a crotch stitcher; you know you gotta be real good to do dat kind of work so de seams are all nice an straight an smooth so nutting scratches de lady. An Pierre here, he's only a diesel fitter. And he's gonna make at least twice more dan me?!"

"Oh," the lady replied, "but he's a skilled laborer with an education. Diesel fitters are in high demand especially by oil fields and heavy equipment users. There's not many diesel specialists around."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, lady," Boudreaux continued, "you got dat all wrong. Yeah, Pierre's a diesel fitter, all right. But what dat means is dat after I do all de fine work on de lady drawers, he picks dem up, looks 'em over and stretches dem dis way and dat, and den says, 'Yep, dese'll fit her!'"

OK,I'm back from reconoitering that swampland of Noodles'.She raised the crime scene tape high enough for me to get under it.You can find it easily if you have 16 bloodhounds,a helicopter,and a cell phone(don't call before 9am).Getting there is easy.Per Noodle's directions,just go on I-20 to Rayville and either go 8mi from there to a blinking light or go to the blinking light then go 8mi or one block,turn left and go across a big bridge(40') and turn in to the left at the first opening in the trees.But I finally found it.The fields look real promising.Noodle's greenhouse is actually kinda cloudy see-thru quonset hut (nice).David talked for 70mi about the ripe tomato on a 6ft vine.He said it was all he could do from picking it.He loves tomatos.Her two labradors stand guard but if you toss the ball for Dazy just once,she'll befriend you.But make sure you toss the ball as soon as you get there.Dan looks in good health and is anxious to see everyone again.Actually,Noodle is just barely in Louisiana,if I-20 was just two lanes,I could stand in her backyard and pee in Arkansas.It was really great to see the two of them again.Real good people.Happy Birthday,Noodle.Maybe more later.

Wait a minute, Warsawdaddy....let me see if I got this straight................you say that Mastereagle can pee in Noodle's backyard? And...was that a right or a left after the third stump on the south side of the holler? Now, if we turn left after the third stump on the south side of the holler, wouldn't that put you in the backyard of Louisianna's only Walmart?....you know, the one that offers toilet paper?

We gotta watch talkin' 'bout all that pee'n.All the guys will be wanting to lineup for a distance contest and there's no snow,and everyone knows guys eyes cross when they go for distance,so some of the tnet ladies would have to judge for us.Which reminds me,everyone should bring a rainsuit,no,not for the contest,it's been known to rain a bit in La in Apr.Noodle has some large open fields and,ridge runner,plenty of woods with trails.Should be a good hunt.NOODLE!Only Shrimp Gumbo,Please,no Mudbugs!

I finally figured out there were two threads going on so it confused me alittle too but that doesn't take much!!! I think I have a friend that I work with that will be interested in coming. So thats two I brought here! Not bad for a newbie to the site. The event sounds like a great time.

Hey, Juan, go for it! Actually, I don't really know what all is beneath this ground, or the others that are available. I've found wheats, clad, 100 year old implements, some silver, no gold. And I haven't searched all that hard! That means there's a whole lot out there to be found!

But when the weekend is all over, it won't be the clad, relics, gold or silver that you'll remember...

...WILL IT, ROWDY BUNCH?! HELP ME OUT HERE!!! This new member doesn't understand what he's being invited to!

Noodle, Trust me.......I've been reading between the lines. This is about fun, fellowship and oh yeah....lying alot about ourselves, brands of metal detectors, and what we have found!!! Not really about what you can find and dig but what you take away with you when you leave. People don't just drive from all over the place for hours to search a site that might have something interesting or not. Its the friends you make!!! Looking forward to it and meeting everybody!
