Love This Park Huntin'!

I just may have to spent a little more time in the park and a little less time in the woods! Diggin's easier, no weeds, vines, or sticker bushes and no snakes or ticks! AND you get to wear shorts and flip flops! This little park has been a lot of fun to hunt. Went yesterday for an hour or so. Found the usual change and a token. Got up this morning and went to the same park and covered an area I didn't get to yesterday. Change, change, kiddie ring. Change, change, kiddie ring. Change, change, Cat in the Hat. Change, change, zipper pull. (Thought about you ME) Talked to the nice folks that keep the park clean for a few minutes and headed back. It was getting hotter by the minute and I hadn't found anything good to speak of, so I decided to hit ONE last spot. Bingo! There was what I was looking for~! A big 'ole silver ring to add to my collection! Looks like little diamonds around the heart. I don't know whether I like finding the good stuff at the beginning of a hunt, or the end of a hunt but happy to have found it. Ended up with $6.08, a token and a silver ring.

Great finds, Nana!! I think of Master Eagle whenever I find a zipper (my daughter calls them "yipsers") too! At the end of the year, I'm going to pack mine up and send them to him for his collection.

Yeah, and you find a lot more coins. Of coarse you probably will not find any half dimes or such. Always fun to break it up a bit. Those rings are fun to find.

We feal the same about right now. Hitting them old groves in parks. No bug off no stress. Pretty soon the season will change and it will be prime woods hunting again.

I know, I know...I'll be back in the woods before too long. Just whiling away the summer...but that park huntin is nice and easy compared to the obstacles in the woods!

Hello, those are some dandy park finds there, well worth sticking to the park this time, i myself having the urge to hunt some older sites here lately, there pretty hard to find around here, i wouldn't mind hunting that wood spot next to you if not to overgrown , i hear those park back east have some great old finds, i see coterie_mc on here just hunted the wooded part and found a old spanish reale, wtg on the silver ring, and token, later

Sweet job on the ring Nana...Those good ole relic area's are just too thick for me right now.Can't hardly swing a full swath anymore.The field's are OK but that's where evryone else has been.I'm ready for the fall already......Congrat's on the find'a Nana and HH!!

Nice ring! I seem to allways find the best at the last. I think the detector gods do that to try and keep you out a little longer, and to see the smile that comes across your face. Congrats on a great hunt.

Sweet silver ring & great amount of clad! I like to find stuff at the beginning of the hunt rather than at the end, I think it gives me more incentive to continue if the findings are few. But I'll take them at any time during the hunt. LOL

Nice finds...I prefer to find the good stuff at the beginning of the hunt, it takes the pressure off. I don't get to too many parks...I just don't have the patients for it. I really prefer relic hunting anyway...as do you I'm sure.
