Hi all. I am new to the board. I run a vending company in Kansas & have pretty good luck at finding silver quarters in my machines. My question is do any of you have luck searching rolled quarters? I have a CoinAlyzer that I run pennies through. I can change it by just putting a silver quarter in the coin comparator. Just figured I would check to avoid wasting my time. Thanks!

once i a blue moon I find one

Do you find them while searching rolls or just in change?

Jay, I found 5 in two boxes of machine rolled quarters, they are out there. It all depends on what district you are in, and they are the easiest to search IMHO, stick out like a sore thumb.

Same here, I tried 5-6 boxes a long while back, nothing, so I stopped, not to say you won't find any, but I never did and didn't want to search 5-10 boxes to find 1. HH, Maverick.

Concensus is that silver quarters are tough to find in the wild (my one and only has been in a coin counter reject tray), but I'll defer to the more active quarter searchers. If you are finding a decent amount in your vending biz, you should probably just stick with that.

I average under 1 a box and to me that's not worth my time. I'll stick with half dollars.

Thanks for the responses guys. I figured they were pretty picked over. It surprises me every time I find one. About a year ago I found 17 silver quarters in my machines in a movie theatre in Kansas! I assume a little kid got into their dad or grandpa's coin collection!
