After spending about 50 to 60 hours wandering around in the wilderness looking for that 1850s site and not finding a single old coin, I have really started getting the coinshooter blues.
Some of you may remember a couple of weeks ago when I went out into my usual urban stomping grounds for about a half hour and scored a 37 merc which cured me of those blues. Today I decided to try that again.
I again ventured deep into the urban jungle, found me a nice trashy looking public spot, and proceeded to begin to hunt.
I only got about a half hour of hunting in before I had to leave, but I didn't leave empty handed.
I managed to pull out a "west coast large cent" (LOL @ my new term), a 1907 indian. For this one I had to kick some crusty discarded shorts out of the way, maneuver around some tinfoil, and dig down about 3 inches, but it paid off in the end.
