Well I had an hour, so I had to go local. I went back to the spot where I found the 1910 & 1907 last time out. It was 6 inches deep. I didn't know if I had a Lincoln or an Indian until I got home and cleaned it up.

It ain't much, but it put a smile on my face.

One word of advice..When detecting in late Autumn in upland forests it is imperative that you drag the coil under the leaves as much as possible. You can lose many inches of depth this time of year by sweeping on top of the leaves.

And in great shape too! WTG!

Thanks to Don in SJ for his peroxide cleaning techniques!

Excellent find over lunch break. I just found out about using hydrogen peroxide to clean injuns about a month ago and it works wonders.

That is a Purdy one Neil! Nothing like a quickie hunt at lunchtime. ;D
