"Judge Burkly" may be a First & Last Name

According to an archival report published in the Savannah Morning News, Judge Burkly was a citizen of an unspecified Georgia county who allegedly buried a large quantity of money prior to his death. Following his passing, the property came into the possession of a man named Tom Rose, who reportedly tore down portions of the house's walls, successfully recovering some of the hidden money, though a substantial amount was believed to remain undiscovered at the time
