I often tell my friends that Iam looking for fame and fortune.
So I suppose getting mentioned in the newspaper is half of the equation.:tongue3:

Congratulations your famous. A newspaper guy took my photo in a park one time then he asked permission to publish it, that was nice. When folks ask me if I ever found anything good? I sometimes reply, Yeah I found God, that usually quiets them and they move on.

Yeah , she asked what I'd found , and I told her lots of trash. I think she was more disappointed than I was.

I love that place. Been going there since the sixties when they had the double decker Pier. Camped on the pier many nights shark fishing.

Dang you are well dressed, when I go to the beach I strip to Speedos [not the old gay style Speedos, I wear respectable down to the knees ones] and sand slippers, thats it.
Coins/trash I stash in a big mesh bag attached to the detector, also have a carbiner clip attached so rings are really secure [I get paranoid of the mesh developing a hole and spilling my finds].
About the only downside to my setup is cans/larger metal items I have to leave when I find them, unless I am close to a trash bin, no place to stash something that size.

Thats in the heat of summer, when it cools off I don a proper wetsuit to stretch out water detecting as long as possible.

I like to have some protection from the sun. Those water shirts are comfortable and block the rays.

Yeah good point, specially in FLA don't want to soak in too many rays.

Here in MI, I enjoy it while its here, the hotter the better.
