Hi there,
Spent years on this form and I metal detect as an on and off hobby on Florida East Coast Beaches. I have had an excal II since 2017 and put some hours on it but not too many. The lack of screen has always been tricky for me on it. Is the Manticore a big upgrade from the excal II? The excal II has been amazingly stable but the surf still makes it chatter if ti bumps bottom or waves go over it; not really sure how much of that you can really get away from. Would the manticore be good? I don't want it to be equivalent to running an AT Pro or Equinox 700 on the beach. Can some of you that have made this change or still have both give me some insight as to what I could expect and what a good decision in on either sticking witht he excal II or adding a manticore to the mix.
